Someone’s gotta go

The Fox television network has announced a new reality show called Someone’s gotta go, in which employees get to choose which one of them gets fired. Like any reality show, there will doubtless be spin-offs. To help out the reality show producers, I’ll make some suggestions:

Someone gets to live

In which patients with a life-threatening – but curable – illness are locked in a house and get to decide which one gets cured. If not enough attractive patients are available, healthy people can be chosen and infected with malaria in separately televised auditions. Possible tie-ins could include the “Someone gets to live” malaria cure, in which viewers can text a premium number to donate a malaria cure to a dying African child, if they are the twentieth caller and can guess the secret number.

Someone’s gotta be blamed

In this program, a crime is supposedly committed by one of the contestants. The other contestants must agree on someone to blame and punish him/her in any way they see fit. All this takes place in a house featuring a torture chamber and gallows. To explore the depth of human nature. Already running in the US as ‘the legal system’.

If you happen to be a reality-tv producer, these formats are hereby copyrighted by me. You’re allowed to produce either show, if you promise to be a competitor and bring your closest friends.
